Miata Mailing List: August 1998, Message #10

Did anybody actually go to this website and look at the pictures of
this thing?  It's all of $2.00 worth of stainless steel, cut and bent
(probably by hand) into a cute little fan shape, and they want $70 to
$80 for it?  Talk about snake oil.  Even if it did work, which I'll
bet it doesn't, you literally could make one yourself for under
$5.00.  Maybe this is a new item for Voodoo Bob?  On second thought, I
don't think so.  I mean, his Voodoo Knobs are dyno certified to add 15
horsepower.  He'd never want to be involved in crap like this.

Hey!  Maybe that's the problem with this thing.  It's made out of
stainless steel instead of polished aluminum!  It's the aluminum that
adds the horsepower!

Oh well.  It was just a thought.

I've still got some tie-down hooks for sale, though.
